Maybe a dumb question but I am considering ways to travel with my dinghy on my Mainship 400. It has an inflatable floor therefore there isn't a way to install a fastening point inside on the dinghy floor. How does one hoist such a dinghy if you use overhanging davits with a pulley system? Is the only option to clip the hoist line to the d-rings glued to the bow? Seems too fragile to withstand any kind of rough weather.

We had an Avon (10’2”) with an inflatable floor. We used 3 points to hoist the dinghy. I added two eyes to the plywood stern and used the handle at the bow. I made a lifting yoke from 1/4” yacht braid that we left permanently attached to the dinghy. Hoisting it with the outboard on, the bow was still light. We had it for 10 years and the front handle was not the weak point.
