As others have noted... unless you can reach out and shake hands with a connecting rod from the engine room, a rebuild would be the best course of action, IMHO.

Unless there are a LOT of big loads, like thrusters and windlass, needing to go a long way, I'd think just keep a small 24v start/run bank from the 24v Alt and either add a 12v Alt. or a 24-12 charger and properly sized 12v house bank for the rest of the boat. What about other power sources on...

Got my shipment yesterday... very nice! Only problem was I ordered and paid for (2) but only received one in the envelope. I'm guessing this will be taken care of, will contact them when I get home from work today.

Ordering was a breeze... Shipping was expeditious... However I ordered, paid for, and was billed for two (always have a battle spare onboard) yet only received ONE. Will be contacting Burgee.com today. No biggie... stuff happens. The product itself seems top-shelf... great job on the design...
