So i plan on going with isotherm 6 gal spa hot water heater on the new install.

We just completed a week in the US. Left Anacortes today and when I plugged in shore power when I got to my home dock. 10 Minutes later the smoke was visible. It was a great trip from Anacortes to Sidney BC though.

yes the breaker did trip once before the smoke. I reset it and seemed fine until the smoke was visible but didn't trip after I reset it.

I was told by the lab, if it is asbestos, It would be easier to paint in over with a few coats of paint. Removing it would be expensive.

Sample is dropped off to the lab today. Will get result in approximately 5 days. I will update once the results are in. cheers

Found a lab close to me. $40 per sample. I am going drop one off to them next week. Worth the peace of mind if nothing else.

I am investing a lab here in Victoria BC. So hopefully i get them a sample soon.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I will buy a testing kit but from what i gather i should be safe.

I use Imar. it comes in a cleaner/protector and they also have a polish. Works really good.
