We all know the boat you own, what's your daily driver?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.

'08 Tundra 4WD to tow the boats with.

Surprised to see so many bikers here. I also have a 2008 Suzuki WeeStrom (DL650), 2004 Honda ST1300, and 2010 Honda GL1800. Somewhere north of 700,000 miles on motorcycles in the last 30 years, including six Iron Butt Rallies.

Wife has a 2018 Tesla Model 3. Mucho fun.

I try to be "green", but with twin diesels....

So, to bring in some balance, my ride is a Tesla Model S. To maintain the balance, my home has solar panels, which completely charge the Tesla, as well as the systems in the home.

BTW, did the triangle loop with my boat - 1,250+ miles - fuel costs $4,000+. Took the Model S on a road trip down south and back, 2,000+ miles - fuel costs $0.00. Both drove comfortably with autopilot.

Good to see this. I have been making all my own power for over 15 years with solar. Love it. Hope to get 2 Teslas soon and expand solar array to charge them. Brilliant way to go!

550 Xi, suburban, crv and the winter project

How much of an oil burner is your 550? Mine was pretty bad by any modern standard right from new, and I got the Dealer dance over it. Then under the class action law suit they replaced valve seals and some other minor stuff. It's improved, but still doesn't meet modern standards.

I otherwise really like the car, and like it even more now that I dumped the dealer. They were classic fix one thing if you are lucky, and break at least one other thing while they are at it.

My '18 Electric Smart still sucks line power, but in it's defense, it's all $.05 kwh hydro.

Also got my wife's '06 Accord, but it seldom leaves the curb.

My 74 Toyota Celica IMG_4354.jpg

Loved those Celicas! Just a great all-around car. Style is terrific. Looks like you have a gem.

Currently wheeling a '19 Ridgeline and a '13 Altima 3.5.

I think we must own the only two electric Smart cars in the country.

There's at least a dozen in my little town of 20,000. But you probably have a point. I note that Daimler has stopped importing them; I assume due to lack of demand.

This is my second one. Not sure what I'm going to when this lease runs out in September.

2005 Ford Freestyle with 140K mi and hope to be counting for a while yet...

Re my old post I’ve sold 5 cars featured there.

Up-date ..
06 Avalon Limited
87 Nissan Stanza GXE

The car I look fwd to driving most is the Nissan. The Avalon is a wonderful ride and is great for piling on the miles. But the Nissan fits.

Since the Nordic Tug is the slow diesel, we needed a fast diesel - a BMW 335d. Nothing like 425 pound-feet of torque at 1750 rpm, while still getting 40 mpg on the highway. We also have a Harley Night Train. And can't forget Carolena I, our Pearson 303 sailboat (also diesel), and, of course, the dinghy.

Nice!!! I looked for months for one before going with the 335xi. Tuned to almost 420 WHP and 500 WTQ. Thing was so much fun, but still wanted yours. Traded it in at 165k miles for a Ford Edge Sport. Twin turbo v6 tuned to 400 and 435 respectively. Love the snails baby!

Current driver is a 2017 Ram Big Horn Hemi.
Love the "Ram boxes".

This December I finally parted with my (now classic), 1990 GT4, and our trusty 2009 Subaru Outback, as now retired we only need one car. I decided to get the top model with all the safety features the other cars lacked. I found an enthusiast in Sydney to take the GT4, and he paid a quite good price...

The dealer we bought the Outback from came up with the best trade-in for that wagon. So, it enabled us to purchase...wait for it...a Kia..! Yes, a Kia, and it's a beauty - can practically drive itself. However, if you take your hands off the wheel to demonstate the lane following, it pops up a message in the dash to "place hands back on steering wheel." Really fun to drive and top quality finish. Can't fault it. Love it..!

A whale wagon! Excellent FF.

Side note. I was driving a recently landed refugee from the Congo around not too long ago, when he questioned me why a Dodge K car wagon in the parking lot had wood on the side of it.

When I told him it wasn't real wood the conversation became even more interesting [emoji23].

Lets see..... have an 04 Dodge 2500 cummins for working around the place, a 2017 Outback for around town, a 2017 Ecodiesel Ram pickup for more around town, an 02 Jag XKR for going fast, an 02 Harley Roadglide when I want privacy and a Top Fuel Harley for racing or when I feel like breaking stuff. Most used? Probably the Outback. Sara has a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same eco diesel as my Ram pickup. Need more cars!

My daily driver... 1990 GMC Sierra C1500, 5.7L TBI. A frame-off resto, and that's original paint.

I sort of overlooked this one until now, but it seems unnecessary. Didn’t I essentially prove a few winters back that one’s boat essentially foretells the car you drive? You can look at a marina parking lot and connect the dots without much effort.

I think I demonstrated this by guessing a few members cars, simply by knowing their boat. One of which I even got their tire brand (And if you think I went generic, I guessed Nokian) and only missed the tire size by one size.

Just sayin. :)

I like it! Looks like a baby Camaro, even down to the Hugger Orange color and stripes! :thumb:

My daily ride is a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with a 5.7 Hemi. I do love the way this truck drives. It was a great truck to haul stuff for my minor house remodel (house sold) and is still used to pull my trailer sailboat (selling soon) and our new UTV's and their trailer.

Thought about trading it in on a new truck to take advantage of the current offers, but decided the money would be better spent on a new boat. If things get somewhat better, its time to go boat shopping!

My daily driver is a 14ft aluminium dory with a 30hp Suzuki

What fun. No fair looking back. What do I drive? Boat is a Nordhavn 68. We should all be able to have fun with this.

Wifey B: Daily driver? I haven't driven in nearly 2 months. I need to go for a drive to nowhere and back. :)

I agree! This could be a fun thread all on it's own.

2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. 200k miles, great car, comfy, good mileage, bulletproof. Admiral drives it now. about 25mpg.
2018 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. comfy and a bit smaller is ok. 35 mpg is nice.

New Kia Seltos, GT-Line. Love it, and can still say that after just coming out of a Celica GT4 Turbo 4WD, and Subaru Outback Premium Pack, 6cyl.

This is 1600cc, turbo, AWD, 130kw/265nm. Has every convenience and safety bell and whistle imaginable. Love it..!

I just drug this one home. 1973 MGB-GT. Its a bit of a project. Most parts are in the boot. Came with a spare running engine and a extra 4 speed transmission. Its currently sitting in the garage waiting for my varnish work to come to and end. Plans are to install a small block and a 5 speed. Should be done in a few years....
