Last time out my ComNav 2001 autopilot had a hard time intercepting a course. It would way undershoot after a waypoint, then never quite intercept the new course.
I've had zero issues with it before. Has anyone else had a similar experience and locate the problem?
They sell standalone room air-conditioned now. Way less than a whole system, and way less mtx. A few hundred dollars for the good ones. I'd do that. No thru hulls, no pumps, no high power draw, and you can put it away in the winter.
I just went thru this exact scenario. I thot if 3 rings of packing were good then 4 or 5 was better. Wrong. The friction is too much. I had 140 degrees in 15 min. I pulled out the extra rings so I only had 3. Temps immediately dropped back to 70 degrees. I suggest you remove all and...
Checked with my wife. She doesn't care about the term admiral.
How come it's OK to call men who use it "misogynist"? That means woman hater. I call BS on that.
I keep impeccable records of everything. It's a bit OCD, but it's what I learned first as an aviation mechanic, then military aviator, then aircraft owner. Can't help myself.
I bought this exact one in 2019 for $105 IIRC. Not at WM. Seems fine, tho a heavy person on the bottom step may not feel real steady. The lever arm at the bottom step is considerable for the weight of SS used.
71 All good input. I'm going to do the work myself. I don't think it's leaking water, no sign of that. Just blooming white and blueish salt on the opening at the back where you can see the shaft leaving the pump. Engines are Dd 4 71
I finally finished replacing all 8 mounts under our 4-71s. My wife helped too - beautiful grease monkey... I also completed an alignment (first time). The old mounts had been shimmed with 1/2" pieces of aluminum. I reinstalled the shims as they were only to discover they put the engine...
Interesting string. What are the indications of your failing charger? It seems it would either work or not work.
Also, I have a ProNautic 20 amp charger for 2 x 8D batteries (genset start batteries). It's done well for 3 years so far. Does that seem small for the load?
About a year after buying our current boat I found an entire prop shaft under the floor boards in the engine room. Had it checked out, straight a an arrow. Nice. It looked like it hadn't been touched in decades.
These sound very intriguing, really looks like a great idea. I contacted them for a brochure and info. Not cheap.
Anyone have knowledge or experience?
