First of all, I wouldn't do it with only two helmsmen. Especially inexperienced offshore sailors.
Second, although it's still early to forecast next weeks winds the GFS model is predicting 2-4 seas during that period, nice on Monday, winds pick up to 20 knots on Tuesday then die down to 12-15 knots Wednesday then picking up a little on Thursday. So we are not in that time period yet where you can get 3-4 days of settled weather.
Just finished a Kemah to Mississippi passage on the ICW yesterday. Boring, but bought diesel for $1.87 a gallon at Shell Morgan Landing!
Yeah, it's boring. Looks like I'm going that way again however. Later this month it looks like.
Any problem spots? How were the locks going through NOLA?
How fast were you running? I cruise at 7 knots.
We just finished Seabrook, TX to Gulfport, MS offshore. We left Seabrook at 7:30am Friday morning, arrived Gulfport 4:15pm Sunday. It was a great trip.

Did you anchor every night?
No, we went offshore the whole way, nonstop.
Drake: beautiful vid! What kind of drone do you have?
Bill, be sure to holla when you get to the Port Arthur/Cameron/Lake Charles area and I will try meet up with you'all.
CDude, this is the week to go if your going. Big high pressure system settling over the northern gulf will give nice weather at least through Friday and maybe into Saturday.
Great video-Getting drone fever-I really don't need another toy, Video makes me want to crank it up and go.
DJI Phantom 3. My son is much better flying it that I am. Plus, he edits video professionally. He did that from the raw footage in less than an hour.
How did you get the video on this site. When I tried my videos didn't show up for selection. I didn't think I could. I loved the dolphins I see them in my wake all the time. I wonder how many times I missed them off the bow.
Drake
Nice video. What would estimate the cruising speed and RPM to be?
For those questioning the niceties of a fly bridge, DeFevers are well designed for one as shown in the video.
