I thought it was worth a "Bump" that the CHS Sailing Directions are now available for a free download from their site here:
https://www.charts.gc.ca/publications/sailingdirections-instructionsnautiques-eng.html
Since you don't have to pay for them, download them regularly as they are updated regularly as well. I have them on my Nav Computer and can check them as necessary when travelling.
I have just built my "Tide and Current Tables" for British Columbia from the CHS Site:
https://www.chs-shc.gc.ca/publications/tables-eng.html
I have prepared an index for them that works well with Coastal Explorer and the CHS charts. In going through this process, I put some time in comparing them with the same stations in Coastal Explorer: They seem to be virtually identical and CE notes the stations as CHS stations. I vaguely remember that in the past many of these were listed as NOAA stations. That is no longer the case.
Note that in the past I found inconsistencies in the CE Tide and Current tables when compared with CHS. These seem to have disappeared. As it takes a lot of time to build the PDF's, and as they are now nearly identical, I may "discontinue" producing my own tables in the future.
However, if you want them, I have some 1250 pages of tide and current tables for those who want them. Send me an email or a PM with your email and I will send them out.
