Currently restoring my Grandfather's boat, I'm having some trouble verifying the exact model. I believe it is a 56' Commodore 14 bit none of the pictures I see resemble my set-up.

If anyone has abd pictures, please share.

steering is front "passenger" side.

Greetings,
Mr. T. Welcome aboard. Steering appears to be on the starboard (passenger side in car-speak) side. Other side is called port. Might as well learn the "boaty" terms. I'm sure some members will have suggestions to contribute even though she's a bit small for trawlering. I look forward to the transformation.

I just did a quick google…there is a website devoted to classic aluminum boats from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Probably a better place to look for info than a trawler forum.

Crestliner from 1986. Would not attempt looping, but easy to control in locks.

Tinboats or Iboats forum deal with a lot of old aluminum watercraft.
