Crystals forming on sanitation hoses

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.

Yes, that is like what I have. My friend who is a retired plumber made the connection for me. I will try to take a photo tomorrow of what he did, if CRS disease doesn’t kick in…

Dave, Did you also put an inline shutoff valve in the toilet plumbing line?

Started tearing up the boat!

Almost have all the ordered parts, still waiting on the pipe , valves and a few extra fittings so I decided to do some exploring. Since I am changing out the sanitation hoses there was a consensual opinion between me, myself, and I, that I would remove part of the galley floor to expose the entire holding tank. I must say, to my surprise it is larger than I thought. Based on my measurements it appears to be a 22 gallon tank, I assumed it was 10 gal, or less.
After a frustratingly long trip to Lowes I still ended up removing the ice maker (new water heater location) capped water lines, drained and disconnected current water heater, tried to remove the water heater from under the cockpit (it's much heavier than I thought and is literally falling apart), Installed electrical outlet where old water heater is (future air surface supply system). Measured and planned for additional water tank

It is always more work than you plan on, except when I ran the new discharge hose for my new head. It took less than an hour to fish 36’ of the new 1” hose through the old 1.5” hose.

It's been about 1 week since changing out sanitation hoses and relocating holding tank vent. The odd orange/citrus odor is almost non-existent now. For the longest time I figured the odor was from some sort of bilge cleaner the po used to mask old engine smell.
