We have a 2007 Mariner 37 Seville Pilothouse. I had believed that the deck core was the same honeycomb material used in the engine room floorboards, but when I had to replace the Vetus bow thruster joystick on the flybridge, the hole was in plywood below the surface. Can anyone tell me if that is what was used for the rest of the deck core? Has anyone had trouble with water intrusion and/or de-lamination?

I am not familiar with this boat but generally they put plywood where things get mounted.
