Hey everyone

I am looking for anyone who has experience with the Force 10 Wall Oven “Gourmet Gas Oven” (Propane). I am looking to add one to my Mainship 34T and think it could fit where the microwave was designed to fit. I know they are small but we are only looking for something to replace the toaster oven that is currently there. I am curious if they are worth the expense and hassle of putting one in. Below is the link to the one I am considering, thanks

I do not have any experience with this model. In the end it is a gas oven. Gas ovens only heat from the bottom. Toaster ovens either heat from the top or have elements on the top and bottom. It’s going. To work differently than a toaster oven which may or may not be an issue for you.

I imagine you have already read the instillation instructions for venting to see if your space is adequate.

Thanks DiverBob. Looks like exactly what I want. My old propane princess is end of life on Weebles and I'd like to install an induction cooktop but would prefer gas for an oven. Didn't know this existed.

Please update if you find any user review info.

Peter

This oven apparently has a broiler burner on the top for toast and such. I have not been able to find the installation instructions yet, I will be calling Force 10 this week to see what they say.

I did a search and couldn’t find a manual for it either. Their website kinda sucks for manuals. I guess you might have to call them.

We have the unit on our boat and I have used it a whopping handful of times over the years.

We cook exclusively with our steam/combi oven on the counter and NEVER use the propane oven or cooktop anymore

I have a built in force ten oven and cooktop combo. Have been very happy with it for live aboard use. It doesn’t require much clearance at all. This oven only model must have some sort of vent, hopefully out the front. The drawings aren’t really clear.
Biggest difference between this one and ours is the burner styles. Ours has a straight lower burner tube side to side and an infrared broiler.
This one has a curved lower and a regular straight tube broiler.
I would actually prefer this tube broiler to the infrared unit as it can be a bit finicky at times. ,any e that’s why the design change.

Did you do the installation or was it already installed when you got the boat. I am looking to see if there are any requirements for external venting or clearance issues inside the cabinets.

Great, thanks! I have sent an email to Force 10 sales trying to get the installation requirements.

Which steam/combi oven do you have? I'm assuming it requires shore power or generator for power?
