Hello. I'm new to the forum and have reached that age where it's time to give up my sailboat. I don't feel safe on the foredeck anymore when the weather gets nasty. I live in Marblehead, MA where the mooring wait is over 20 years, so it's important to find a trawler around 35' to keep my current mooring. Having enjoyed portions of the loop with friends and being on a mooring have influenced the wish list:
35ft length max
Single screw diesel; 6-8 knots cruising (warp speed for a sailor) with a top end of 12-14 when the weather turns.
Fuel capacity for long legs. (fuel stops on the Tennessee Tombigbee were sparse)
Bow thruster
Generator
Anchor windlass
Location not critical
