I’m crossing over from cruising sailboats to a 1990 36ft Marine Trader Sundeck. Much TLC needed to refurb, but basic structures and systems in good shape.

Immediate need for a lock on the starboard sliding cabin door. Needs to be a claw rather than a deadbolt. Here are some pictures with measurements. Any suggestion on sources greatly appreciated.

Seeing your other post, temporarily can you use a piece of line or a simple hook to lock it from the inside?

There may be some OEM locksets available at all the salvage yards around.

The only one near me is Marine Liquidators of Ft Pierce (more buy out/surplus than salvage) and they do have oddball stuff. Can be very helpful...try and get a picture from someone on here that actually has one in the door. Measurements may be fine though.

The other 2 FL East coast salvage places I have been to are in St Augustine and Ft Lauderdale. Mabe TFers around those can help you out.

Whitewater makes one that might work in your situation. I recently had to change one out on my sliding door. Strangely they only make a starboard model.

Here is the link from Amazon

It would take a bit of creative work on your door to make it fit, but that is what was previously done on my 1990 Sabreline so mine was not difficult to change a second time...first one the hole was over cut or what it replaced was larger so I had to epoxy fill in so the screws that hold it in the door had something to bite into.
