We purchased a 1980 Gulfstar MC44 this past summer. If I am reading the hull numbers correctly, we have #114 of the 115 that were built. It has been an experience! Although we had a boat we needed to sell, the biggest issue was finding a 50' slip. Those are hard to find and this boat was 55 river miles away. It is funny how things can work out - once we decided to go forward, our boat sold the next day and a 50 ft' slip came available at our marina just as we closed. The only issue was the bay to the slip was too low, which meant removing the radar and arch before we could move the boat. The trip to get our boat to its new location was great, and a trawler on the Tennessee River at 8 knots is heaven. coming from a Carver 355, I am impressed with "space" and the ability to access critical areas. I am sure I will be reaching out to members for help! ...Carleton

Correction: Our boat is hull number 104...only 105 were built! in 1980.
