I have a T6.354 Perkins in my Mainship which developed a leak in a fitting on the injector pump. My question is trying to identify the part that was leaking.

Can anyone identify the fitting that I've noted here with the circle around it? I need to replace it but have to have a name for it first.

Thanks

Its a banjo bolt. It has washers on each side. You can try loosening the bolt a bit with ntil it leaks more, then retighten. It might flush out any dirt that might be the cause of the leak.
Otherwise you need new washers.
Be careful tightening that bolt. Its hollow since it carries fuel thru it and is easy to break. I have that t shirt.
If you can find the manual on this site it should have the torque spec. I don’t remember the value.

Also you can anneal the copper washer (soften it) by heating it up and letting it cool. The Function of tightening the banjo bolt work hardens the washer. I have read if you quench it in water (Cool it quickly) it will become even softer. The copper needs to be soft to make a good seal.

or you could get yourself some new copper washers.
