I am in the process of negotiating for a 1996 President 665. I'm am looking for any information regarding build quality, ride quality, etc. I thank you in advance.

If that boat is powered by those big MAN diesels, now pushing 30 years old, then confirm you have access to a local mechanic and obtain some cost estimates for various major maintenance procedures which may be required, as well as the engine survey of course.

We had a 1987 President 41. It was a nice boat. We only sold it because we wanted a faster boat due to having to leave my mom at home and needed to be able to get home faster.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
Did you feel that the quality of the hull/stringers were comparable with US produced boats?
Thanks again,
Gregg

Hi Gregg,
My Wife and I purchased a 1989 54ft President last December. She is a amazing boat. Handles bad weather amazing compared to our last boat. She has Cat 3208TA 375HP with are very efficient for a boat this size. As we understand they are built in Taiwan by the same people as Ocean Alexander. Most were built to customer specs and very few are the same. As I always say though it comes down to maintenance. If she is well taken care of she will be a amazing boat. If you have anymore questions my Wife is really knowledgable as she has researched boats a lot the last five years. Do not hesitate to contact us. John and Ashli

Hi John and Ashli,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with your President. You made my day. It has proven to be very difficult to find information regarding this brand. We have our survey next week. Would it be possible to speak with you and ask a few questions?
Thanks again,
Gregg

Hi Gregg!
How exciting!!!
We LOVE our President!!! it took us five years to find her. And we do not have one iota of regret. The only thing we compromised on is the entrance steps. But we have someone that will be redoing it for us in the spring. Other than that, she is an amazing Boat! We would be more than happy to talk to you. It’s always fun finding people that share the same interest as you.
John and Ashli
