Our Yamaha 15hp outboard had bolts 7.25" apart. Our new Suzuki outboard is 7.75" apart. Blech. 1/2" different seems like a pain. Presume we want the motor centered but a 3/8" bolt hole 1/2" from prior hole will probably overlap. The motor is on a bracket that is connected to our SeaWise davit. Anyone dealt with this before? Suggestions on how to proceed?

Called Seawise Davit. You have to remove the sleeve, take the sleeve and the engine to a welding shop and have them drill and countersink holes. Why is this not standardized?!
