Tachometer making high pitched noise

My Faria tachometer on my Yanmar 4lhastp is making a high pitched noise upper and lower station port engine only?…

Check your piezo alarm. The one located under the upper helm on our boat was making a high pitched whine as RPMs increased. Replaced it and whine went away.
