V Birth Mainship 34

Doing the loop. I have a question. Was the Mainship 34 originally put into operation with a center piece of mattress between v birth?

Yes. A Mark I that we had did have that center insert.

The 1980 that recently followed us home came originally with the insert as well.

Our '87 Mk III V-berth had the center insert.

As does our 1983 MKIII. If I remember correctly, with the insert it makes the wide end of the berth 7' 5"
