I sure like the looks of these Aussie and NZ boats. What's that style called?

I am not sure I know the correct answer to your question.

In New Zealand this hull is very typical of a Frank Pelin design and he designed quite a few boats during his time, so I guess the answer I would give is "Pelin".

Jamie your boat is beautiful!
Is the color more like the bottom pic?
Just got a new I-pad and the pictures are great.

Bill you've got a boat just like Walt's. He has good taste too.

Yeah sorry my question was a little vague. At first I thought it looked like a "Downeast" style maybe but not really with that nice raised bow. I like that low pilothouse also.

Just a really nice looking boat no matter what you want to call it! ?

Is that an Aussie boat, Mike? Your helm is on the wrong side!!

Isn't this better?

Heck- we had a waterfall, Brotha Iz and his uke singing on the forward deck, and we have inflatable pineapples! :D

You are building some wonderful memories on the water for your family. My sons say the best family times they can remember were the times spent boating and around the water. It is still a connection with them today. My grandsons will have those same memories. What a wonderful family hobby.

It's great to hear this. It's been our hope that we can create some great memories and keep our family close. So far so good. The kids never work so hard as when we are on the boat and yet they never complain. It's been over a year on the boat and it's been fantastic so far.

My mini trawler

Nimble Nomad Hull #48. Got her in July and, sadly, she's been put away for the winter. Can't wait to get her back in the water in the spring.

I now wish we went boating when our girls were young.

I always took my boys in the riverboat when they grew up in Alaska. Now my grand daughter has helped me build the dock, fished from the same riverboat and has operated the bigger Sea Ray. She tells me she can't wait to drive the newer Alaskan Sea-Duction.

Kids and Grand Kids... Enjoying life, aboard!! :thumb:

resides on a lift behind our house here in St.James City,Fl.
We do lots of day trips and a few overnighters as our area is perfect for cruising.

Nice boat, Nimble. We're right around the corner from you (Bimini Basin in Cape Coral). Hope to see ya on the water!:thumb:

Lots of the time kids are great on boats but if you're going on a 4 or 5 hour run ya better have something prepared to occupy their little minds and bodies. ..... Or the'll find someth'in. Sometimes they demand so much attention your own attention to navigation and safety can fall behind.

But watch'in kids having fun on and around boats is great for all.
