Garmin GPS and iPad Connectivity

Trying to find out if a standard Garmin MFD setup, including their GPS24xd antenna, will broadcast GPS coordinates via Bluetooth to a WiFi only iPad (no internal GPS sensor). If not, how do others solve this problem when your electronics are predominantly Garmin… Bad Elf, Garmin Glo 2, ???

Please refrain from editorializing on the suitability of Garmin equipment, or how other mfg’s equipment packages are better than Garmin.

Pretty clever device.

So the OP’s chart plotter will need a NMEA 0183 output.

Alternatively will his Garmin MFD create its own wifi network that will work?
