Thank you for inviting me in to your forum. I'm new to the forum, but have sailed for forty plus years in the Merchant Marine from passenger boats to tugs and small ships. It's always interesting to share tales of adventures we all go on and endure. Several years ago my wife and I purchased a 53' Grand Banks Alaskan, did a good deal of work to it, including some plank replacement. Unfortunately as happens from time to time financial situations change. Having said that, we would love to find someone who loves old wooden trawlers to continue the quest of refurbishing her back to health. She has good bones, but does need work. We have unfortunately run out of funds and ambition.
