hi I'm looking to buy a 1986 sea hunter and I'm trying to get some feedback on possible problems or quality comparison to .marine traders or island gypsy .thanks

They were a well built boat generally, certainly at least mid-range in quality as far as Taiwanese Trawlers are concerned.
With all that era of trawler, thoroughly check for window and deck leaks, status of fuel tanks, hull blisters, engine and driveline maintenance, etc.
When they get to this age, it very much depends on how well they have been looked after
