Damn, can't seem to upload a photo taken on my iPad, from the iPad. Help....anyone...? There must be a way. If it's too big, how to make smaller..?
Ok....well, it loaded, but upside down. How did it do that..? Now for my next trick....ok, ...I give up, just turn it round.
We were at Elliott Bay Marina. Actually it was at Palisades Restaurant. We stopped in there for a drink and some oysters while we watched the end of the Ravens game.
Here's one of my favorites that I took early one morning as I was leaving my old marina. Absolutely calm, cloudless skies except for the one with the unusual shape, and its reflection on the water below.
Gee that looks lovely Eric. That beautiful clear water. Reminds me of Lake Taupo in NZ, and happy days deep trolling for trout there years ago. Seems a lifetime ago now...
OK here's both adventurous and tranquility. We were going to Marble Island (ahead and to the right) near Edna Bay about thirty miles NW of Craig. The 40 E-tech burned so little fuel that we took almost twice as much as we needed. A three day trip into the wilderness to visit our friend Ed Barnritter. The skiff was loaded w gear. Hardly a place for us. We experienced none of any of the mishaps we prepared for and had unbelievably wonderful weather. We launched at Winter Harbor, went through rock strewn Karheen Passage w/o instruments, across Sea Otter Sound to Edna Bay and up Davidson Inlet to Marble Island. The source of the marble in the capital buildings in Olympia in Washington State.
