In Bottleneck Inlet on Finlaysom Channel not far from Klemtu.
We're looking west to the entrance.

We camped there while sea kayaking the coast. I woke up to a full moon that night, and got up to take a piss. The moons intense light was casting shadows in the forest as I walked along, and a pack of wolves were howling in the distance on the island opposite our camp. As I stopped to take my leak, a wolf let out a shockingly long and loud howl about 50' from where I was standing. Suddenly, I didn't have to piss anymore and walked smartly back to camp.

Yeah, that’s a great story.
I love a good sea story, or in this case, a good forest story. I like the part about the wolf being only 50 ft. from you. But really dude, you should have manned up and got a photo of the lycan to post here before you fled the scene like a Girl Scout (no sexism intended).

I really like the tranquil stuff (see OP), but I’m about to devolve into a placid pool of plasma. A good burst of adrenaline once in a while recharges the batteries (see S Cruz video.)

So, think 180* from tranquil. Let’s see or hear what you’ve got.
And please feel free to embellish (the wolf was only 10 ft. away). KJ

PS Please, no Bigfoot stories!
PPS One of these days I’ll figure out the rotting tree thing, Murray.

I was diving in the Bahamas when after a while I got this creepy feeling that I was being watched. After about ten minutes I turned around and saw this bad boy following me. KJ

Walking along the shore up the north end of Vancouver Island a couple of years ago. My wife shot this with a normal lens (58mm). Hard to say which one was more surprised.

In the small bight just north of Clare Is in Niblack Anchorage in the NE quarter of Moira Sound. Just before pulling anchor in the morning. It was early. Weather was coming and we wanted to get home that day.

Lots of nice scenery pictures uploaded here. We all get a chance to see unique areas where we boat. So many people living downtown in the cities miss this stuff.
Here are a couple more shots from around Newfoundland. Second one is from the cottage last year.

So many nice/wonderful pictures. Thanks!

Mark I've been wondering where you've been. I like your new avatar.

As you can see I've got lots of tranquility pictures.

!. One of our favorite places to go. We named it Picnic Island. Could walk around it in about 10 min. The abundance of shells suggests long ago Indian activity or Sea Otter activity. It's at the east end of Sea Otter Sound and the west end of Karheen Passage.

2. A seal watches us leaving Picnic Is. Picnic Is is a name we gave the island. It's right next to Garden Is.

Damn, can't seem to upload a photo taken on my iPad, from the iPad. Help....anyone...? There must be a way. If it's too big, how to make smaller..?
Ok....well, it loaded, but upside down. How did it do that..? Now for my next trick....ok, ...I give up, just turn it round.

Well, I thought that was on purpose. After all, that IS the correct orientation from our point of view......:D

The first time I drove my boat was through “The Rockpile”. I was going very, very slow and the guy with me just kept saying “keep her in the middle, keep her in the middle”. There was a sailboat a couple of hundred yards ahead of us and I was maintaining that distance. All of a sudden the sailboat starts heading way over to the side. The other guy on my boat tried to call him on the radio, and then shouted at him not to go over there, but it was too late. The boat slammed to a dead stop with a loud bang. The whole boat shook violently. I had come to a complete stop still quite a distance away and slowly moved up to him. The fellow said they were trying to get to a private dock and missed the marking.
He threw us a line and we towed him off with a lot of scraping.

After we passed through that section the guy with me says “Oh, by-the-way, that was the notorious Rockpile that we just went through”. Thanks! KJ
