Sure did. Always worth a trip there if in the vicinity. We went there several times when we lived in Hawkes Bay. But Taupo is special.....Not to hijack the thread...but did you happen to ever go up to "Fairy Springs"?
We were in NZ about 20 years ago for 3 weeks wandering about in a motorhome....wife hired a guide for my birthday....caught the biggest trout of my life!!
