**Stalker!!!!**

Now there's the pot calling out the kettle.

Now here's the dilemma. Outside to Coinjock is 109nm inside is 115nm. Either means I run to close to midnight. Outside forecast is 1-2' building to 3 on the nose and if you've ever been there you would know that the Albemarle Sound (there this evening and night) in particular can be very nasty (3 quickly becomes 5). Outside there is nowhere to bail if things get unpleasant.

Floyd's is an empty lot? We're heading to Oriental/Beaufort/Swansboro next week, and thought we might stop at MC Yacht Basin on the way back.

BTW Tom, I am having Craig Shrek take a look at my tanks in Beaufort, based on your recommendation.

Inside....remember it's supposed to be fun. :thumb:

I *hope* it means they were just closed.

Unless I and Google had the address wrong more like flattened then closed.

I've been lucky crossing the Albemarle, had my share of "adventure" in the Pamlico. Make it a pleasant day, go inside. Don't spill your drinks.

Good luck.

bummer! I must have been looking at the empty lot next door. Must be the injury cutting of blood flow to my head.

Stalking your ais... See your Hobucken run...

Will be a pleasant ride through protected canal. Coinjock is quite a way. Watch the occasional log through the Pungo-Alligator canal...

I need to get a t-shirt that says "Hobucken", but I think you only get that with a front tooth extraction. :)

Wow... Making good time today.

Early bird:socool:

I think the plural is 'Hatteri"

There was a 45' Hatteras at MCYB that was named MAD HATTER. Always liked that name. Of course, the Hatteras factory demo fishing boats are always named the HATTERASCAL.

With you guys calling me on the carpet, I'm starting to get rug burns! :). ;)

Gonna see you at PG Friday? (I'm stalking again!)

Hey Daddyo -

You still shooting for Coinjock tonight? Albemarle east winds about 10 knots. Fairly calm. So far.

Hatterai?

Looks like he is snuggled up near the eastern side of the Alligator River for the night. A good days run.

Good morning from the Aligator River, NC

Dismal Swamp or Coinjock?

PLACE YOUR BETS!

I would love to do the "Not Dismal at all" again but I just don't have the time. My marina (that I paid for a slip and then used for three weeks this whole last year) is having it's season opening party tomorrow and I would like to be there as apparently they have timed it to coincide with my return:dance:

I would expect that having left well before 6:00 this am would easily put me at Hospital Point or maybe even Hampton depending on what happens with the lock and bridges.

well it just would not be right to be the guest of honor at the party and not show up but hey they boaters they would understand. B:dance:

Hospital Point easily (well, bridges...). Nice anchorage. Get past the Gilmerton bridge and you're free. Depending on light and weather, Back River maybe.

Trip is reverse nostalgia for me since we bought our boat in Solomon's and came south.

Daddyo, from looking at your track, it looks as if they have straightened the channel some from the Alligator to the Albemarle. Did you find anything of note at that entrance?

I'm using current USCG charts and they matched up with the markers. Key in that spot is to follow the markers not the GPS and also read the Activecaptain comments. Plenty of water.

Are you using a laptop at the bridge?
