Pretty pictures. I'd rather be bored stiff in contitions like that instead of in a state of panic with waves breaking over the bow and stern at the same time.

Manyboats,
I don't understand?

This was the first half hour of the day on the ICW:)

I've had some people ask about this shot. I took it this morning looking down from the bow at the dolphin swimming in the bow wave. The rest of what you see ie. the clouds and the boat are reflections off the water. I did not photoshop this in anyway. I don't even know how.

Greetings,
The dolphin escort IS quite exciting and entertaining. It's amazing when you see them in the distance and the next thing you know, they're playing and frolicking in your wakes/waves.

Daddyo,

If you want to come into Fort Pierce City Marina, radio for instructions. They are dredging the entrance channel. We will be leaving for home Sunday morning.

I was showing this to the Admiral who does know how to Photoshop, to show how much fun it will be when we can finally head south in the boat. Her question... How did he take the picture without his own reflection showing in the picture? I pondered that a while. And couldn't figure an answer.

Thanks for sharing with us wannabe cruisers. It keeps the fire burning.

If you look close you can see the camera hanging out over the cap rail.

Don,
Thanks a million. If we go that route I'll be sure to give you a shout.

True! It never gets old for us. We had 12 on the bow in Long Island Sound this fall at it was incredible to watch how powerful they are.

I used the word "bored" for Marin, who despises slow speed boats.

Well he'll hate "BACK IN BLACK" when I've finished building her then. Top speed of 12 knots with a cruising speed of between 6 - 8

My ski boat has a 250hp EFI 2 stroke and puts out 72 knots at WOT but uses 200ltrs in about 45 mins. Fast = $$$$$.

Can't wait to finish the build and putt along :)

Yeah agreed RTF. We had a couple in our wake last year.

Great thread Daddyo - I'm enjoying the pictures and posts!

Well we spent two nights on the hook in Ft Pierce. Great to see the weekend boat traffic as temps were in the 80s with water at 79! Had to replace a water line on the genset. Got to do some fishing from the boat with the boys in the crystal clear water here as we were right near the inlet. Pics are from the Vero Beach and Ft Pierce area and the VAB in Cocoa.

We're going to leave the boat in Ft Lauderdale area for two weeks. Any suggestions?

Check out the Los Olas Docks. Great location near the beach, and they have about 10 mooring balls on a first come first served basis. It is a city facility. I'm not certain how long they will let you stay.
